Employers

Employees who are also parents can often arrive at work after the morning ‘routine’ fatigued, feeling rushed and under pressure and often they may have the same distracted feeling at the end of the day as they plan to rush back home or pick the kids up from nursery, school or even after school clubs.

We support employers who value their staff by developing programmes specifically to meet the needs of parents within their business or to run our successful parent coaching programmes or seminars in house during lunch or any other convenient time.

Coaching:

What is coaching?

We’ve used the word coaching so maybe its good to explain what we mean by this term

When we use the word coaching in our context, think partly of a sports coach. They work with their athletes to determine what it is they want and then support them to make that happen using the unique attributes the athletes possess and by building their self-belief.

With our coaching technique we follow a similar pattern. We work with you and provide support and motivation using a variety of tools and techniques to determine what you want to achieve out of being a parent and then create action plans specific to you to make that happen.

Using coaching methods is very effective as it is very personal to each individual. As we’ve said before, there are no right or wrong ways of being a parent, but different approaches will bring different results.

When was the last time you stopped and even thought about what it is you are looking to achieve out of being a parent.

Take time now, stop and think, what is it you want to achieve out of parenthood. It may be something for you, (e.g. I want to be calmer, I want to have more fun) or it could be something you want to benefit for, or change in, your children (e.g. stop being shy or to be better at maths homework)

We consider the coaching element of what we do is an excellent method for parents to really stop, think and then take positive action. Action that will make the difference.
